S.U.N.Y. Orange was founded in 1950 as the first county-sponsored community college in the State University of New York system.

Physical Education Building's Main Gym.

The physical education facility contains six handball courts, a swimming pool, the main gymnasium (capacity 3,000), human performance lab, three classrooms, and an exercise room. Adjacent to the building are soccer and softball fields and tennis courts.
